Group Travel - North America hits the spot for groups

North America is perfect for group travel due to the many options available in the many countries situated in this continent.

The United States of America has enough to see to keep any traveller occupied for a lifetime or more. The same can be said for Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. This is why we can only take a brief overview of each and see why they are great for group travel.

The USA has 50 states, meaning there is plenty of scope for groups. The most popular cities for visitors and group travel are New York, Washington DC (the county's capital city), Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, San Francisco and Seattle. Another popular city is Las Vegas, which is becoming even more popular these days with the rise in popularity of poker and online gambling. Las Vegas is in the state of Nevada and close to one of the USA's most amazing sights, The Grand Canyon. Many group tours take in this geological masterpiece. The best way to see this amazing sight is by helicopter, or to take a walk out onto the clear platform at the top of the canyon and see the true drop beneath your feet.

Other famous sights include The Whitehouse in Washington DC, The Statue of Liberty in New York, The Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco and Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. But in truth each state is like a country in itself, with its own customs, sights and stories.

Group travel in North America could also take you to Mexico. Here groups can experience regions like Acapulco, the resort of Cancun and the hub of Mexico, Mexico City. You can experience all kinds of things in Mexico, from wildlife to a wild nightlife. This means it is perfect for groups, with differing tastes catered for across the country.

Other famous holiday destinations are right across the Caribbean in North America. These islands are hugely popular, and with many all inclusive hotels and resorts groups will feel right at home if they travel to one of these destinations.

Islands in the Caribbean include Cuba, Jamaica, Barbados, Bermuda, Haiti, Aruba and St Lucia. They all have a common theme and that is their laid-back attitude to life. That doesn't mean they don't know how to party, but the pace of life is slow and relaxed. Many of the resorts have an array of ways to burn off the energy if need be, like tennis courts, bikes and gyms, but for those who just want to lay around in the sun or enjoy a drink by the pool bar then there will be many others who will join you in this pastime.

So as you can see the scope for group travel in North America is quite extensive, and this is without considering Canada which has a wealth of travel options. North America is just perfect for groups.
